Code of Behaviour

EMWA aims to bring together medical writers and communicators from all over the world, and to support our members through training and other activities.

At EMWA, we value diversity and do everything we can to foster a welcoming, open and inclusive environment. We expect our members to support us in this, by ensuring that participation in the EMWA community is a harassment-free experience, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion or sexual identity or orientation. This means that members should be inclusive and respectful in their conduct during face-to-face and virtual EMWA meetings or training activities, and in their communications, including on social media.

EMWA’s communications channels are open to our members as long as the information provided is non-promotional and fact-checked.

EMWA members also respect each other in terms of intellectual property. For example, we would not record online sessions or forward slides received from workshop leaders or other sources without permission.

Any concerns should be brought to a member of the Executive Committee or to Head Office (info@emwa.org). These concerns will be treated confidentially.
