Beate Wieseler PhD

The Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care

During her years in basic research Beate discovered the fun of presenting science to various audiences. This led - more or less by accident - to her turning her hand to medical writing. As a medical writer, Beate was responsible for the preparation of study protocols, study reports, publications, submission dossiers and other study documents, and also held seminars, which she enjoyed as another facet of the communication of research. She also managed the European medical writing group at an international CRO. Since 2005, building on her experience as a medical writer, Beate has been involved in drug assessments at the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care in Cologne, Germany. She served on the EMWA Professional Development Committee (EPDC) from 2002 to 2008.
